Terms of Service

Last updated: May, 2026

In plain language:

These are the rules for using our website and courses. By using them, you agree to these terms. We’ve tried to keep this short and clear.

1. Who We Are

Dharma Consulting LLC is a Salem, Oregon-based business offering continuing education for Traditional Health Workers (THWs) and other paraprofessionals. When this document says “we,” “us,” or “Dharma,” we mean Dharma Consulting LLC. When it says “you,” we mean anyone using our website or taking our courses.

2. Accepting These Terms

By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or using our website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site or courses.

3. Your Account

You’re responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information when you register
  • Keeping your login credentials private
  • Anything that happens under your account
  • Letting us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized access

One person, one account. Accounts are not transferable.

4. Course Enrollment, Payment, and Refunds

Enrollment. Once you enroll in a course (whether paid or free), you have 14 days from the enrollment date to complete it, unless we tell you otherwise in writing. You can request an extension for an additional 7 days.

Payment. Paid courses are processed securely through Stripe. We don’t see or store your full credit card information.

Refunds. If you’re not satisfied, contact us within 7 days of enrollment at curious@findingdharma.org and we’ll discuss a refund. We typically refund students who haven’t completed more than 50% of the course.

Free courses. Free courses are subject to eligibility (typically based on county of residence or employment) and may have a completion deadline. Failing to complete a free course doesn’t create any financial obligation, but it may affect your eligibility for future free offerings.

5. Educational Content — Not Clinical Advice

Our courses are educational and intended to support continuing education for paraprofessionals. They are not a substitute for licensed clinical training, supervision, or medical, legal, or psychological advice. Always follow your organization’s policies and applicable laws. If you or someone you support is in crisis, contact 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911.

6. CEU Certificates

We issue a CEU certificate when you complete a course’s required lessons, quizzes, and reflection. Certificates are issued in your registered name. You’re responsible for submitting your certificate to your employer, certifying board, or other entity that recognizes CEUs. We don’t guarantee that any specific board will accept our certificates.

7. Intellectual Property

All course content — lessons, videos, worksheets, references, quizzes, branding, and design — belongs to Dharma Consulting LLC and is protected by copyright. When you enroll, we give you a personal, non-transferable license to access the course for your own learning.

You may: Download and print materials for your own use.

You may not: Copy, share, resell, or redistribute our materials; reproduce content in your own trainings or publications without permission; or share your account access with others.

8. Your Content

When you submit reflections, quiz answers, or other content through our courses, you keep ownership of what you wrote. You give us permission to review and store your submissions for the purpose of running the course, evaluating your work, and issuing your certificate. We won’t publish or share your individual submissions externally without your permission.

9. Acceptable Use

Please don’t:

  • Share copyrighted course materials outside of our platform
  • Submit false information or impersonate someone else
  • Attempt to access parts of the platform you’re not authorized to use
  • Use the site for anything illegal

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

10. Disclaimers and Limits on Liability

We provide our courses and website “as is.” We try our best to keep everything working and accurate, but we can’t guarantee the site will always be available, error-free, or perfectly current.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Dharma Consulting LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or courses. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (or $100 for free courses).

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll let you know by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continuing to use the site after changes are posted means you accept them.

12. Ending Your Account

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may close accounts that violate these terms. Some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate record-keeping (e.g., CEU records, financial transactions).

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any disputes will be handled in Marion County, Oregon, unless we both agree otherwise.
